In 2017, there are exactly 40 days from Thanksgiving Day to New Years Day. And with the elimination of the eighth floor display at Macy’s in downtown Minneapolis and Holiday Lights in the Park in Saint Paul, along with the disappointing change from tradition at Holidazzle, more people than ever are looking for new holiday activities. J.D., Fred, Jearlyn, Jevetta and Billy Steele are five siblings who make up The Steeles, an ensemble who have quite the resume. They’ve recorded and performed with Prince, Morgan Freeman, The Blind Boys of Alabama, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and many others. I recently heard Jearlyn perform at a gala, and she blew everyone away, resulting in a standing ovation. Times Jearlyn’s power by five and you get this concert, which is bound to be a highlight of your holidays. Showtime tonight at the Fitzgerald Theater in Saint Paul is 7:30 p.m.
