After making it through the year that is 2020, we could all use an extra cup of holiday cheer.

Driving with your family and looking at Christmas light shows around the Twin Cities and MN is an uplifting, pandemic-safe activity! Plus, in many cases, it’s relatively inexpensive.

This Holiday Lights Display Guide started when I launched Give Me The Mike in 2017, and I love compiling the list every year. It keeps growing and growing! I hope you enjoy it as much as I like creating it.

I am still adding Christmas light shows to this Guide. However, to be included, homeowners or organizers must submit information. To add your display, click here.

Make sure you have current information

Some popular light shows are not happening in 2020 due to COVID-19. Those include:

Canadian Pacific Holiday Train (they are hosting virtual events)
Kiwanis Holiday Lights, Mankato
Holidazzle, Minneapolis (they are hosting virtual events)
Larson’s Lights, New Hope

It should also be noted that the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum originally sold out for the season and has since switched to a drive-thru format. Tickets are now available for their experience, which runs through January 17.

For those who didn’t know, Holiday Lights in the Park at Lake Phalen in Saint Paul ended after the 2016 season.

All of the displays on this guide were confirmed by the homeowners/organizers. Be careful, as other online light guides are outdated!
