How this Guide is Maintained
Give Me The Mike independently checks organization websites for current donation policies, accepted items, hours and pickup options. Not all accepted and unaccepted items are listed below. Because donation needs can change quickly, always confirm with the organization before making a trip. If you have a correction, send it to Mike using this form.
Things To Note
- Textile recycling: The Bra Recyclers may be an option for bras and undergarments that do not fit the needs of local nonprofits. They are for-profit. Another option for bra donations is the nonprofit I Support The Girls. Currently, donations need to be mailed to Maryland.
- Check in with your local animal shelter: many animal shelters and rescues will take towels and blankets, along with other pet items.
- Before you throw it away: If you have an item that may not be accepted by a nonprofit listed, post it to your local Buy Nothing group on social media.
