Where can you find the best ice cream in Minnesota? I asked people on the Give Me The Mike Facebook page for their favorites.

There’s a difference worth knowing before you choose your next cone: the five shops in my original ranking serve ice cream made by other producers. So in September 2026, I specifically asked for shops that make their own ice cream.

How this guide was created

I asked people on the Give Me The Mike Facebook page to recommend Minnesota ice cream shops that make their own ice cream. For this list, I counted recommendations in the comments and replies, along with reactions to those recommendations, then put the shops in order of support.

I checked whether each business makes its own ice cream and left out places where I could not verify. I have not personally visited every shop on this list.

These shops appear in the order they ranked in the Give Me The Mike Facebook recommendations. Each makes its own ice cream; Adele’s makes frozen custard. The addresses identify one location for shops with multiple stores.

Crème de la Crème
