Now for the 5th year, I have published a guide of where to go see Minnesota holiday lights shows near you. This year’s Minnesota Holiday Lights Display Guide features multiple residential displays that boast more than 100,000 lights. And that’s just the beginning. Best of all, many of these displays are free to visit.
Please note: this Guide is best viewed on a desktop. Some videos, and the functionality of the interactive map, do not work on WordPress mobile.

Sure, there are other holiday lights display guides out there, but are they accurate? All listings below are submitted by the homeowners, organizations and businesses who turn on the lights each night. Some things to note:
- Bentleyville in Duluth has returned to a walk-thru format and is free
- GLOW at the State Fairgrounds is a walk-thru experience only for 2021
- Lights on Flagstaff in Apple Valley is not taking place in 2021
- Holiday Lights in the Park at Lake Phalen in Saint Paul ended in 2016
