You’ve seen the videos of flash mobs execute choreographed dances at weddings and in public spaces. An upcoming flash event is bound to have less jazz squares and more squares of ravioli.
A group called Handmade Events is planning a PopUp Dinner to take place Saturday, August 12 at an undisclosed park in Minneapolis. On the day of the event, those with tickets will receive a notification with the public location. Tables and chairs await upon arrival. You get to pick where you sit, the table decor you’d like to have out, and oh — you’ll bring your own food.
The crowd varies from bachelorette parties to birthday celebrations. Attendees are asked to dress in white…oh, and you’ll be able to bring wine, too. You can bring one bottle per person (beer is excluded from that rule).
Don’t let the ‘Minnesota goodbye’ go for too long — they’ll kick you out of the dining room at 10 pm.
Handmade Events is also throwing PopUp Dinners in San Fransisco, New York and Sonoma.
Word is that this year’s PopUp Dinner in Minneapolis will be somewhere…refurbished. But you’ll have to buy a ticket and pack a picnic dinner to find out.
The PopUp Dinner is a 21+ event. Tickets are now available online and cost $35.
