Exploring Minnesota and Beyond

Holiday window displays are back in Minneapolis

A Minneapolis store teamed up with a popular theatre company to bring the beloved Nutcracker Fantasy to life in window displays.

For 55 years, Minnesota Dance Theatre has presented Loyce Houlton’s Nutcracker Fantasy, becoming a holiday tradition for generations.

Due to COVID-19, the stage is dark this year, but it doesn’t mean the we can’t visit the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Land of Sweets.

Minnesota Dance Theatre teamed up with clothing and lifestyle store MARTINPATRICK3 (MP3), located in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis, to display street-side windows showcasing original Nutcracker costumes.

Inside the store, MP3 is selling a special Nutcracker ornament with 100% of the proceeds going to support Minnesota Dance Theatre’s CAN Dance program. CAN Dance fully funds tuition for dancers from diverse neighborhoods who would otherwise not have access.

The window displays are free to see and will be up through the first week of January.
