- The Carter Christmas Lights Show is drawing awareness to Spruce Up Albert Lea, a $75,000 fundraising campaign to help update the city of Albert Lea’s holiday display — something that hasn’t been done over in 20 years
- This display is just minutes away from Interstates 35 and 90, so if you’re traveling this holiday season, it’s easy to check out if you find yourself in southern Minnesota

- Organizer Mike Justak is battling Parkinson’s, and said 2017 would be his last year. However, neighbors stepped up to help plan this year’s display
- Both areas will have synchronized shows to music on 97.9 FM
