Roundup of the best Halloween yard displays in Minnesota

By request, I was asked to compile a list of houses around Minnesota who go all out for Halloween. Many of these homeowners use Halloween as a warm up for Christmas because they list their displays in my annual Minnesota Holiday Lights Guide, which will enter its 9th year in 2025.

A big thanks to Dexter Thomas who creates an annual interactive Home Haunters Map to celebrate Halloween and allowed me to share it. The 2024 edition included more than 100 homes throughout Minnesota, along with displays in the Fargo area.

Home made haunt– butcher shop set up in garage, walkthrough the back yard, enclosed haunt with swamp/monster scene, clown room, electric room, spider room, weave through the haunted cornfield, and exit through the life size graveyard. Graveyard fence and pillars are made from scratch. Inflatable stack of pumpkins to greet everyone as they approach, as well as a skeleton scene in the front yard with home made props.

As a corner house we have taken advantage of all the viewable yard space by incorporating a graveyard featuring animatronics and a 12 foot Skelly in the front yard.
