In 2017, there are exactly 40 days from Thanksgiving Day to New Years Day. And with the elimination of the eighth floor display at Macy’s in downtown Minneapolis and Holiday Lights in the Park in Saint Paul, along with the disappointing change from tradition at Holidazzle, more people than ever are looking for new holiday activities. Enter “40 Ways to Holiday.” Each day between November 23 and January 1 will have at least one event worth checking out, along with plenty of giveaways along the way! Find the full list of days here.
Day 15: Thursday, December 7
Featured pick: “Elf the Musical Jr.”
The holiday favorite movie, “ELF,” is coming to life on stage in Maplewood thanks to Ashland Productions. Follow the story of Buddy, who is transported to the North Pole as a child and is raised as an elf. Buddy travels to New York City to find his birth father and his true identity.
This show features over 80 actors between the ages of 6 and 18 who are in two different cast teams.
“Elf the Musical Jr.” is in its final weekend. See shows through Sunday, December 10 inside the Maplewood Community Center on White Bear Avenue. The show is good for those ages “one to ninety-two.” Tickets run $13 – 21.
