It’s an activity good for the whole family, fun for a date night, and it’s relatively inexpensive. I was on KSTP-TV’s Twin Cities Live with your votes for the best bowling alleys in the Twin Cities.

Elsie's

Elsie’s, Minneapolis

  • Located just blocks from the banks of the Mississippi River in Northeast Minneapolis
  • 16 lanes
  • 21+ after 10:00 pm 7 days a week
  • Elsie’s offers a shuttle to Target Field for all home Twins games
  • Elsie’s has a restaurant and bar, also hosting banquets
  • Karaoke is held every Saturday night from 9:30 pm until close
  • They do have a surface parking lot and street parking in the neighborhood is easy to find

Town Hall Lanes

Town Hall Lanes, Minneapolis

  • Located in South Minneapolis; in the former home of Skylane Bowling
  • 10 lanes
  • Sister property to Town Hall Brewery and Town Hall Tap in Minneapolis and Town Hall Station in Edina
  • Five beers brewed at Town Hall Brewery are on tap at Town Hall Lanes
  • They also offer full pub fare, including flatbreads, half-pound burgers and Sunday brunch

Park Tavern

Park Tavern, Saint Louis Park

  • Located in Saint Louis Park
  • 20 lanes
  • Can accommodate parties in the 11th Frame bar and other private rooms
  • Offers free valet service during winter months and during private events
  • Park Tavern is very accommodating for bowling group fundraisers and donations
  • Known as a bar for Green Bay Packers fans

  • Cedarvale has a pro shop if you’re looking for bowling gear
  • They have a full restaurant and bar, along with an outdoor patio
  • Cedarvale hosts sand volleyball leagues during the summer
